
MARK S. MORAIS
VICE PRESIDENT - CONSTRUCTION
Mark S. Morais is an experienced construction executive with more than 10 years of construction and design experience in both national and international markets. Mr. Morais is Vice President of Construction for The Peebles Corporation and is responsible for all construction related activities for the firm. Additionally, his responsibilities include assisting with all aspects of predevelopment construction, including the identification and selection of the appropriate contractors, specialized engineering firms, evaluation of constructability of proposed developments, and the review and preparation of construction budgets.
Mr. Morais' background includes the management, oversight and successful completion of the $225 million Bath Club project on Miami Beach. The Bath Club project consisted on of a 20-story tower, 6 Ocean front villas and the restoration of the historic Bath Club's Clubhouse. In the Caribbean, he was responsible for the construction of a condo-resort complex in Ocho Rios, Jamaica, and has gained experience from various other construction projects throughout the international market. In addition to his hands on construction experience, he has more than four years of diverse structural design and project management experience in Maryland and has achieved professional aptitude in the areas of structural design and evaluation, construction monitoring, design, estimating and scheduling.
Mr. Morais is a graduate of Maryland University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering with a concentration in Structural Engineering.
