2100 Martin Luther King, Jr. Avenue, S.E.
Washington, D.C.
This 100,000 square foot office building was developer R. Donahue Peebles’ first commercial real estate development project and first public/private venture. The project design included the incorporation and preservation of a small historic Art Deco building with new construction.
Built in an economically blighted section of Washington, D.C., this office building has been credited with contributing to the economic revitalization of the area. Completed in 1989, the building is primarily leased to the District of Columbia Government. In 1991, the development was featured on the Parade of Mayors tour as an example of excellent urban renewal.
